Year 7 to 13 students from secondary schools throughout Southland, Fiordland and Otago enjoy challenging week-long camps at Borland Lodge.
Students study the natural history of the area and learn new outdoor skills.
Activities include overnight camps, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing and abseiling, Clifton caves visit (DOC brochure available), team building, group challenges, tramping, SAR exercises, art & craft, swimming at the Blackmount Community heated pool, compass work and orienteering, astronomy and watching the night sky while enjoying the ever popular Borland Campfire.
Groups can participate in the predator and weed control project.
